pub enum MnemonicSource {
Generated,
Existing,
}Expand description
How the gateway obtained the mnemonic the LDK node derives its keys from.
Variants§
Generated
Freshly generated by this process, so it controls no historical onchain funds and the node can start its onchain wallet at the current tip.
Existing
Imported or loaded from a previous run, so it may control onchain funds the node has no record of, e.g. after its data directory was lost. The node then scans the chain from genesis when it first creates its onchain wallet, since starting at the tip would leave those funds undiscovered. This has no effect once the wallet exists.
